Eighth Cow Share - $749
At Kind Cattle Co., we believe in complete transparency. When you purchase a Grass-Finished Eighth Cow Share, you're investing in premium Texas-raised Brangus beef raised with care from start to finish.
Our cattle are born and raised on pasture and finished exclusively on grass and forage. We take pride in raising high-quality beef and providing our customers with a product they can feel confident serving their families.
An Eighth Cow Share is a great option for individuals, couples, or smaller families who want the benefits of purchasing local bulk beef without needing a large freezer or making a large upfront investment.
Pricing
Our Grass-Finished Eighth Cow Shares are priced at $10.25 per pound hanging weight.
Most eighth cows average between 68–81 pounds hanging weight, though actual weights vary from animal to animal.
A typical Grass-Finished Eighth Cow ranges from approximately $700–$830, depending on the final hanging weight of the animal.
Estimated pricing is based on average hanging weights. Actual totals may vary depending on the final weight of the animal and any specialty processing requests selected through the butcher.
The base price includes:
✔ Raising and caring for the animal
✔ Professional processing by a state-inspected butcher
✔ Standard cutting and packaging
✔ Vacuum-sealed and labeled cuts
✔ Boxing and inventory organization
Additional Charges
While our goal is to keep pricing as straightforward as possible, additional fees may apply for:
- Specialty cuts
- Custom processing requests
- Value-added products
- Non-standard packaging options
- Additional butcher services
Any additional fees are charged by the butcher and will be communicated whenever possible before processing.
What You'll Receive
A Grass-Finished Eighth Cow Share typically yields approximately 43–47 pounds of packaged beef, depending on the size of the animal and processing yield.
Because eighth shares are divided portions of a larger animal, custom cut sheet options are not available. The beef is packaged according to our standard cutting instructions to ensure every customer receives a balanced variety of cuts.
Your beef will be individually packaged, vacuum-sealed, labeled, frozen, and boxed for easy freezer organization.

While every animal is different, a typical eighth cow consists of approximately:
- 50% Ground Beef
